Herzlich willkommen zum europäischen Festival für junge Regie hier in Dresden – einer Kulturstadt mit jahrhundertelanger Geschichte. Zum dritten Mal ist die sächsische Landeshauptstadt Treffpunkt für den künstlerischen Regie-Nachwuchs aus ganz Europa. Das Festival bietet erneut für alle Mitwirkenden und Gäste ein „Schauen über den Tellerrand“ und eine Reise durch Europa in vier Tagen. Es gilt, Gemeinsamkeiten zu finden und Brücken zu bauen.
Wir freuen uns, dass das Staatsschauspiel Dresden die Bewerbung der Landeshauptstadt Dresden zur Kulturhauptstadt Europas 2025 tatkräftig unterstützt. Im Rahmen des Festivals wird das Kulturhauptstadtbüro eine vierwöchige Künstler-Residenz zum Thema „Neue Heimat“ stiften, die von einer Bürgerjury vergeben wird. Dafür drücken wir allen Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern die Daumen und wünschen ihnen eine intensive gemeinsame Zeit, gute Gespräche und nützliche Kontakte.

Welcome to the European Festival for Young Stage Directors here in Dresden – a cultural city with centuries of history. For the third time, the Saxon state capital is the meeting place for up-and-coming artistic directors from all over Europe. The festival once again offers all participants and guests a "look beyond the horizon” and a four-day journey through Europe. The aim is to find common ground and build bridges.
We are delighted that the Staatsschauspiel Dresden is actively supporting the application of Dresden to become the European Capital of Culture in 2025. As part of the festival, the Cultural Capital Office will sponsor a four-week artists' residence on the theme of "Neue Heimat", which will be awarded by a jury of citizens. We will keep our fingers crossed for all participants and wish them an intensive time together, good conversations and useful contacts.
