DER EUROPEAN THEATRE CONVENTION (ETC) / OF THE EUROPEAN THEATRE CONVENTION (ETC)
Das ETC-Projekt „Theater ist Dialog – Dialog der Kulturen: Europäische Vernetzung osteuropäischer Theater“ fördert die Rolle des Theaters in der Ukraine: als öffentlichen Raum, Ort pluralistischer Meinungsbildung und Plattform eines Dialoges von Kunst und Gesellschaft. Stipendienprogramme ermöglichen ukrainischen und internationalen jungen Theaterschaffenden, an deutschen, georgischen und ukrainischen Theatern und Festivals zu hospitieren. Das Projekt bietet Perspektiven im internationalen Kontext und unterstützt den Aufbau neuer Strukturen. Fünf Stipendiaten dieses Programmes besuchen in diesem Jahr gemeinsam das Festival Fast Forward. Die ETC wird außerdem den diesjährigen Fast Forward-Preisträger, die Preisträgerin oder die Preisträger zu ihrer nächsten Generalversammlung vom 7. – 10. Juni 2018 am Det Norske Teatret Oslo einladen und es ihm/ihr/ihnen dort ermöglichen, sich einem Forum von über 40 europäischen Mitgliedstheatern vorzustellen.

The ETC program “Theatre is dialogue – dialogue between cultures: European networking of East-European theatres” promotes the role of theatre in the Ukraine: as a public space, a place of pluralistic opinion formation, and a platform for dialogue between art and society. Scholarship programmes enable young Ukrainian and international theatre makers to sit in and observe in theatres and festivals in Germany, Georgia and the Ukraine. The project provides prospects in an international context and assists in the development of new structures. This year five of the scholars will visit the festival Fast Forward. Furthermore, the ETC will invite this year’s Fast Forward prize winner to their next general assembly which will take place from 7th to 10th of June 2018 at Det Norske Teatret, Oslo, where they will be able to introduce themselves to a forum of over 40 European member theaters.
