Der thematische Ausgangspunkt von UNRUHE ist der „Veitstanz“, eine Tanzepidemie, die 1518 die Einwohner Straßburgs befiel und mehr als 400 Menschen mehrere Wochen lang tanzend in den Straßen hielt. In der Beschäftigung mit diesem ungewöhnlichen Phänomen, das bis heute Rätsel aufgibt, und des gesellschaftspolitischen Umfeldes, in dem es sich ereignet hat, untersucht UNRUHE, inwiefern individuelle und kollektive Impulse, darunter auch der Tanz, existentielle Bedürfnisse sind.
Gibt es Erfahrungen, die wir als Gesellschaft vielleicht kaum noch suchen und die dennoch nur ein kollektiver Akt bieten kann? UNRUHE lädt das Publikum zu einem rituellen Happening ein, das irgendwo zwischen Konzert, Theaterstück und Feier angesiedelt ist. Es ist die Einladung, ein Rätsel zu ergründen, das erst in dem Moment entsteht, in dem Menschen zusammenkommen.

UNRUHE starts out from the theme of the „St. Vitus Dance“, a dance epidemic which infected Strasbourg inhabitants in 1518 and kept more than 400 people dancing in the streets for several weeks. By exploring this strange phenomenon, which continous to be an enigma to this day, and the socio-political context in which it occured, UNRUHE questions wether individual and collective impulses, including the act of dancing, are vital needs.
Are there experiences that we as a society perhaps rarely look for anymore, yet can only be offered by a collective act? unruhe invites the audience to a ritual happening somewhere between a concert, a play and a celebration. It‘s an invitation to explore a mystery that only arises when people come together.
Regie / Directing
Nolwenn Peterschmitt, *1992, studierte Schauspiel an der Akademie von Limoges. Nach ihrem Abschluss absolvierte sie eine Ausbildung in zeitgenössischem Tanz, Butô, Krumping und Clownerie. 2017 war sie Mitbegründerin der Groupe Crisis, die sie heute gemeinsam mit Laurène Fardeau leitet. Groupe Crisis ist ein Netzwerk mit Sitz in Marseille, das für jede seiner Produktionen verschiedene Künstler*innen zusammenbringt. Nach der Co-Regie von zwei Produktionen ist unruhe ihr Solo-Regiedebüt. Seit 2023 studiert sie außerdem rituelle Praktiken an der EHESS (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) in Paris.
Nolwenn Peterschmitt, *1992, studied acting at the Academy of Limoges. After finishing her degree, she also trained in contemporary dance, butô, krumping and clowning. In 2017, she co-founded Groupe Crisis, which she now co-directs with Laurène Fardeau. Groupe Crisis is a network located in Marseille that brings together different artists for each of its productions. After co-directing two productions, unruhe is her solo directing debut. Since 2023, she’s also been studying ritual practices at the EHESS Paris (School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences).

UNRUHE lädt das Publikum zu einem besonderen Erlebnis ein.
Es ist zugleich Konzert, Theater und Feier.
Nolwenn Peterschmitt (* 1992) ist Schauspielerin, Tänzerin und Regisseurin.
Die Gruppe Crisis aus Marseille gibt es seit 2017.
Sie bringt immer wieder verschiedene Künstler*innen zusammen.
