Zum Rahmenprogramm zählt alles, was es neben den Festivalinszenierungen an Möglichkeiten gibt, um mehr über die Stücke, die Regisseur*innen und deren Arbeit zu erfahren, um miteinander ins Gespräch zu kommen oder einfach zu feiern. Neben der Festivaleröffnung am 13. November um 18.30 Uhr und der Preisverleihung am 16. November um 22.30 Uhr im Kleinen Haus des Staatsschauspiels Dresden gibt es Kurzeinführungen vor den Vorstellungen, die Festivalbar und Partys im Festivalzentrum sowie eine Wander-Karaoke. HELLERAU – Europäisches Zentrum der Künste stellt die Arbeit eines internationalen Produktionshauses vor, während THEATER UNTER DRUCK die zunehmend schwierige Situation von Theaterschaffenden in Europa beleuchtet. In Zusammenarbeit mit der European Theatre Convention ETC findet außerdem wieder das Fast Forward Festivalforum statt.
In addition to the festival productions, the supporting programme includes all the options there are to help you learn more about the plays, the directors and their work, to get talking to each other or simply to celebrate. Apart from the festival opening on the 13th of November at 18.30 and the award ceremony on the 16th of November at 22.30 in the Kleines Haus of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, there will also be short introductions before the shows, the festival bar and parties in the festival centre and a karaoke walk to join in. HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts will present the work of an international producing theatre, while THEATRE UNDER PRESSURE will highlight the increasingly difficult situation of theatre professionals in Europe. Also, in collaboration with the European Theatre Convention ETC, the Fast Forward Festival Forum will take place once again.

Every evening after the last show, you can meet the festival artists, the team and other guests at the foyer bar, in the Bistro in the Kleines Haus or on the terrace. Even if it’s a bit late because it takes you a while to get to the Kleines Haus from another venue – we’ll be there every night till midnight. Come and talk to us and we’ll introduce you to our guests!

HELLERAU – Europäisches Zentrum der Künste ist weltweit bekannt für sein internationales zeitgenössisches Programm der Bühnenkünste von Tanz, Performance über Musik bis hin zu innovativen Bühnenformaten der Medienkünste. Das Programm besteht aus Gastspielen, Konzerten, aus Koproduktionen und Festivals. Eine besondere Rolle spielen die Künstlerresidenzen, die einen Arbeitsaufenthalt für Künstler auf dem Gelände von HELLERAU ermöglichen. HELLERAU arbeitet international eng mit unterschiedlichen Partnern wie Kulturinstitutionen, Theatern, Organisationen, Länderinstituten, NGO’ s u.v.m. zusammen und hat sich ein international tragfähiges Netzwerk aufgebaut. Im Rahmen von Fast Forward stellt sich das HELLERAU-Team den internationalen Gästen und allen Interessierten vor. Die Veranstaltung ist auf Englisch. Wir bitten um Anmeldung bis zum 3. HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts is renowned worldwide for its international contemporary programme of performing arts, from dance and performance to music and innovative stage formats from the media arts. The programme consists of touring productions, concerts, co-productions and festivals. The artist residencies, which enable artists to stay and work in the HELLERAU facilities, play a particularly special role. HELLERAU works closely with different international partners such as cultural institutions, theatres, organisations, national institutes, NGOs and many others, and has built up a sustainable international network. As part of Fast Forward, the HELLERAU team will introduce themselves to the international guests and anyone else who’s interested. The event will be held in English.
